Wahammer 40K: Complete template for scratch building a Baneblade Tank

From an old issue of White Dwarf, instructions and templates for making a Warhammer 40K Baneblade tank out of plasticard/cardboard and some tubing. I made one of these years ago. Can't remember why I cut out the side track unit piece. If you make one, please send me a photo of the finished product.

Diorama: Calvin & Hobbes Murderous Snowmen

A great running gag in the comic strip Calvin & Hobbes was the disturbing snowmen created by Calvin. There's a quite a few strips collected here.

"Twisty Tie" has made a wonderful diorama inspired by Calvin's murderous snowmen.

Twisty Tie says: It was built on a wedding cake foil base that is about 20 cm in diameter. The snow is white felt with cotton wool making up the snow drifts. The snowmen were made out of newspaper balled up and then covered strips of newspaper and PVA glue and then given a final coat of white tissue paper. The arms are some sort of flower arranging floral wire. The axe, signs, and fence were made out of card.

Custom Action Figure: Animated 1939 Batman, Hush, Batgirl Beyond

Bill's Customs features a large selection of customized DC Comics action figures, and a few other random characters. Here's three animated-style figures. Follow the links for more photos and "recipes."

1939 Batman.

Hush.

Batgirl Beyond.

Custom Action Figure: Animated Bat Sentry

"Jin Saotome" has completed an incredible selection of customized action figures. The Bat Sentry is one of his most recent creations. It's both cool-looking and fairly easy to complete. Pick up a Shadowtek Twin-Blasters Batman (Ebay link) and some black paint, and head over to this page for instructions on making your own Bat Sentry. Or you could just buy the actual figure Jin made. Note, this is NOT the figure you need.

If you're looking for a far more challenging project, here's a Bat Sentry that closely resembles the Bat Sentry as it appears in Kingdom Come. It's largely based on a Marvel Legends Sentinel.

You can see more photos of the finished Kingdom Come Bat Sentry here, and see several in process photos here.

If you've fallen in love with the Bat Sentry design, but want something cheap and fast, there's several Heroclix models available at Ebay.
